Groundbreaking Course on Limb Replantation!
FESSH is excited to introduce the Practical Course on Upper Limb Trauma and Replantation – from Bone to Skin!
Aim of the Course
- Introduce replantations in hand surgery and more in general hand trauma surgery: learn the reimplantation technique on models and cadaveric specimens.
- The initial first day (vessels, nerve, tendon, bone) are a preparation for the final two days where forearm/wrist, long fingers and thumb reimplantation will be performed under the supervision of experienced European surgeons.
- Describe and teach basic techniques for each tissue (bone, vessels, nerves, tendons, muscles, skin)
- Describe and teach surgical techniques for different lesion levels.
- Describes the early and late complications of both microsurgery and reimplants in general
Participants are required to have a diploma or a certificate of a basic microsurgical course.

Standard registration: € 1.600
FESSH supports registration fees up to €600 for a limited number of participants from countries with full membership in FESSH.

- provided at practical replantation sessions: 1 specimen for 2 participants – all matherial and opposing microscopes

- working lunches and coffee breaks on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
