Conference Tours


The Conference Secretariat offers several tours during your stay in Székesfehérvár. Please check the list and indicte your interest in an email to the Conference Secretariat. Payment is not needed in advance.

T01 | Budapest City Tour (ca 3 hours in Budapest, whole trip ca 5 hours)



Visit one of the most beautiful capital cities of Europe, the „Paris of the East”, with its world and Europe famous monuments. Don’t miss out the fantastic view of the Danube from the medieval Castle District (Optional inside visit of the Matthias Church and Fishermen’s Bastion) and Gellért hill. Learn more about Hungarian history at the biggest and most spectacular square of Budapest – the Heroes’ Square. Pass by the Opera House on World famous Andrassy Avenue and the third largest Parliament Building of the World. Return to Székesfehérvár in the early hours of the afternoon.

T02 | Herend – Lake Balaton (duration: ca 8 hours)



Start the tour traveling to Herend the most famous Hungarian porcellain manufacture and enjoy a guided walk and presentation of the history and modelling of Hungarian porcellain making. (possibility for shopping in the museum shop). Next we drive to Lake Balaton ( the largest fresh-water lake of Central Europe) and visit the Abbey on the Tihany Peninsula. Following a 3-course lunch in a ’csárda’ restaurant, we go to Balatonfüred (with the oldest spa in Hungary) and walk along the famous promenade. Finally, return to Székesfehérvár, the tour ends at the Hotel.

T03 | Etyek – Winetasting (duration: ca 4 hours)



Visit one of the most famous wine regions of Hungary and travel to the Etyek hills close to Székesfehérvár. Taste precious Hungarian wines learn about the wine culture and purchase a bottle of the tasted wines home as a nice Souvenir.

T04 | Székesfehérvár – Héviz – Keszthely (duration: ca 8 hours)



Start of the tour in Székesfehérvár, visit of the historic city center, former coronation and burial place for the medieval kings of Hungary. Walking tour through the ruin park. The tour continues by bus, you travel to Héviz, the famous open air warm water lake, unique in Central Europe . The lake has almost the same temperature all year round. Visit the spa and enjoy the natural thermal lake during a short visit.(max. 2 hours) Lunch and snack bars to be found within the territory of the spa. (guests take care of their own meals) After a nice bath visit one of the most wonderful baroque castles of Western Hungary in Keszthely. Walk through the castle museum enjoy the gardens. Afterwards return to Székesfehérvár.

T05 | Székesfehérvár – Pannonhalma (duration: ca 5 hours)



The tour starts with the visit of the historic city center of Székesfehérvár. Guests will be shown the former coronation and burial site of the medieval kings of Hungary. (Walking tour) Proceed to one of the precious examples of the UNESCO World Heritage in Hungary – Pannonhalma. The mighty Benedictine monastery gives place to one of the most beautiful library collections of Central Europe and is still a functioning monastery nowadays. Guided walk through the museum and library. After the visit return to Székesfehérvár.
