On behalf of the organizing committee, it is a great pleasure and honor for me to invite you to the 8th Central European Orthopedic Congress in Pécs. The congress will be jointly organized with the annual meetings of the Hungarian Orthopedic Society and Hungarian Society of Traumatology.

The topics of the meeting have been well selected in order to guarantee an interesting and stimulating discussion.

The city of Pécs will be the Cultural Capital of Europe in 2010.

On behalf of the Hungarian Orthopaedic Association I welcome you all at Pécs, in Hungary, on the 8th Central European Orthopaedic Congress (CEOC). The second cycle in the history of CEOC started in 2008 in Bratis-lava after the first congress was organised by professor Makai in 1996.

We enjoyed the hospitality of Hungary in 1998, Slovenia in 2000, Croatia in 2002, Czech Republic in 2004, Austria in 2006, Slovakia in the second cycle in 2008 and now Hungary again.
