Call for Abstract

The Scientific Committee of CECON 2009 invites all participants wishing to contribute to the scientific program to submit an abstract of 350 words or less for presentation as a paper or poster. Abstracts must be submitted by Saturday, August 15, 2009.. Abstracts received after this date will not be considered.

Programme Topics

The topics will focus predominantly upon the following themes:

           atherogenic dyslipidemia, diabetes mellitus-2, depression, schizophrenia, rheumatic diseases)
»  03. Diagnosis of obesity
»  04. Danger in nutrition
»  05. Food supplementation
»  06. Physical activity in prevention and treatment of obesity
»  07. Morbid obesity and surgical treatment
»  08. Genomical research in obesity
»  09. Childhood obesity
»  10. Regulation of food intake
»  11. Chemical environment and obesity
»  12. Obesity dependent mortality
»  13. Psycho-social aspects of obesity
»  14. Economic consequences of obesity
»  15. Balneo therapy in the treatment of obesity

Submission rules

»  Abstracts must be submitted using the preformatted electronic form below
»  All abstracts must be submitted in English.
»  Please state your preference for podium or poster presentation or either option. In the case of the latter choice,
    the final determination of the presentation format will be at the discretion of the Scientific Committee but this flexibility
    is likely to facilitate acceptance of the abstract.
»  The abstracts will be included in the Congress Proceedings, which will be distributed at the Congress.

»  The preformatted submission form is formatted as follows
Title: Entire title in capital letters without abbreviations.
Authors: Give initials first, then surname without title or degrees. If there is more than one author, the presenting author's name should be underlined. Authors not listed will be omitted from published materials.
Address: Give each author's details (Department, Institution, City, Country & email address. You will be required to enter the complete addresses, phone and fax number of the presenting author.).
Abstract content: The following steps should be used to prepare the abstract:
Aim or objectives: A short statement of the aim/objective of the study.
Materials or Subjects Describe the materials or subjects examined.
Methods Follow with a concise description of how the project was performed.
Results Discribe the results in data based on statistic analysis. The phrases "will be discussed" and "will be presented" are not acceptable.
Conclusions: End with a conclusion directly supported by the results data, pointing out the relevance of the findings
References Do not exceed two and follow the format of consecutive superscript numbering in text.
Abstract Size The abstract should not exceed 350 words. No abstract with deferred outcome data will be considered. If data is to be presented, it must appear in the original abstract.
Abstract type: » Oral Communication Authors will have 8 minutes for their presentations and 2 minutes for discussion
» Poster Posters will be set up in a dedicated area and exposed throughout the congress, Interactive Poster sessions will take place at times specified in the program. The size of the posters should not exceed 0.8 m in width x 1.2 m in height

Abstract submission is separate from registering for the meeting. Please take note of your login name and password. You will need them to re-enter the abstract submission system.
